Art in the Park

In Superior Chamber by Susan Anderson

Dear Friends of the Arts,

Enclosed is the Art in the Park application for the 10th Annual Home and Building tour on January 27th and 28th, 2018. The Art show will be held at Besich Park, on the corner of Main St. and Neary. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved to an inside location.

Click here for the application to apply.

We typically have 800 to 1,000 people attend the event, which includes an antique show, guest speakers and entertainment. The hours for Saturday are 9am-5pm and Sunday is 10am – 4pm. There will be no charge for artists to set up the first space this year as we’re working to help promote the arts in Superior. If an additional space is reserved the charge will be $25. Limit of 2 total spaces unless space is still available on January 20th.

A $25 “Show Up and Stay Deposit” will be charged for each space and refunded to you at the end of the show. Each artist must have a current Arizona State Transaction Privilege Tax permit (Sales tax) showing Superior as a place of sale. (This way Superior receives a percentage of the sales tax collected). I’ll need to have a copy of that prior to set up. The other option is to use someone else’s TPT number if they agree to pay the tax money for you. If you choose that option we will supply you with a letter that both you and the person with the permit will need to sign for our files. You can obtain your permit by calling the Arizona State Department of Revenue.

Space is limited and will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Along with the application we have enclosed a layout of the park and spaces. Note that sizes are approximate. Please indicate your top 3 choices of spaces. In order to be registered we will need the application, $25 deposit payable to the Superior Chamber of Commerce, money for any requested tables and a copy of your TPT license. You may mail your papers to the Superior Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 95, Superior, Az 85173, drop them off at my studio at Smokey’s Mercantile, 161 W Main St. or the Chamber of Commerce at 165 W Main St.

This should be a really fun show and we’re looking forward to having you be a part of it.
